bad experience same old food

Smurfs back does anyone care?

todays topic henrys at the Henry jones

How can a restaurant thats been open for basically 3 years still have basically the same menu it started with the menu reads nearly exactly the same as it did the last time i was there and the time before that. is the chef just lazy? or is it the age old rule if it aint broken dont fix it as with so much of whats happening in this state so much great produce yet everyones pumping out the same food.
So food was serviceable not great but not bad. Ok so rating it Food 3, wine list 2 id say lower but i really dont want everyone on my back and for the price please shoddy service doesnt make up for it. service hmmmm had a bad experience in what they call a bar so that may affect the way id rate it so lets say this guy in bar 0 waiting if i want to be told how i can drink my drink id ask his opinion as someone who knows what i want give it to me i dont care what u think your PAID TO SERVE ME give me what i want, when i want it and if i want your opinion i will ask for it! luckily the person i was meeting was an old friend heavens forbid if i was on a blind date or an internet date! because it prob would have ruined my night anyway off the subject waiting staff 3.
In all an ok evening would the smurf be in a hurry to go back umm not quite yet maybe in another years time when im looking for some nostalgia about 2007.

did you want lemonade in your red wine again Smurf?

you are spot on about menu changes, or lack thereof; those stagnant menus remind me of when people advertise a restaurant saying "international cuisine!" as if it were a good thing.

At the Sheraton at Rome airport, we were hoping to get our last fix of fab Italian food; but no, same old 'international' pap that you could get in any city of the world - heartbreak and heartburn combined in a bain-marie

no kitty not this time and how did u know about the lemonade in my red wine!!!!!! do we know each other are u me under my psycho name no wonder i have blogged alot lately im to busy blogging under your name or is it my name? i forget what i actually wanted was a simple martini made with the smurfs specifics and what i got was a rolled eye then do u know if u have it this way it tastes better i dont care i know what i like i know how to make what i like and when he learns how to make the classics properly and stop being an arrogant sfb then he can maybe try to talk to me.
As for the menu changes kitty this is why id rather just get a curry because i always know what i want. when im out for dinner i want to go wow that was worth the $$$$$

Smurf, you must have been serevd your drinks at Henry Jones by the same a'hole who has served me twice now, and also told me how I hadn't ordered the right thing when I have had this drink for hundreds of years, made it countless times myself and love it. My reaction was exactly the same as yours, and it really has put me off the place now. I mentioned this guy to a few staff I know who work there. They knew who I was speaking about, but he obviously still works there. How does this happen? Oh well, I just don't go there now. As Kitty says, express your opinion with your feet.

...and by the way, Smurf - what happened to your reviews of pub food - the good, the bad and the ugly, as promised by you last year?
Since I've had the few great pub meals the last 2 weeks, I'm interested whether you have done your pub crawl, and if so what were your conclusions?

you're as stupid as each other arguing over food in hobart..........it's all rubbish! there's alot of people having a good laugh reading these tasmanian blogs.
great produce, shit on the plate!

having had to find somewhere to eat in hobart and surrounds, i'd say you'd have the best home cooks in australia, you'd need to be!
